    I'm scarred for life, because the "sit down together and eat" was always forced. I was constantly forced to eat when i was a kid even though I wasn't hungry. Even until today I have a complicated relationship with food and especially with eating when others are eating... Plus, I don't eat breakfast. So tip number 1 is out the door 😪

I will ask more details at a later time over the summer.

    Thyroid.....throat chakra/energy center/ ....speaking our inner most knowing, dreaming, desiring, needing. In a society that has silenced women, and contradicted them at every turn when they are brave enough to speak out, no wonder there is dysfunction manifesting here.

    Patriarchy, patriarchy, patriarchy. Imperialist white-supremacist capitalist patriarchy. A system of denial and erasure. One that took the intuition, felt sense of knowing, bodily intelligence and emotional capacity and sought to destroy it. As it viewed nature as weak and worthy of domination, so too it thought the same towards all that lives most deeply and completely in the feminine. Women especially have been forced to act in direct and continuous opposition to their knowing/intuition, essentially attacking themselves to survive in brutal patriarchy on every level. That alone would cause immense harm inside and out.

    I just want to say, already, only 13 minutes in and i'm feeling the energetics of confirmation and validation on a spiritual and integrative level. I am a male bodied person--though i don't gender identify by any binary or stereotypical forms of masculine or feminine. The nature of this conversation: the witnessing, acknowledging, validating, communing over, the inclusion, the transparency, the support, the care, the wresting of knowledge back, terminology, insight, agency, autonomy, being versed in one's own seasons, cycles, rhythms, regaining body wisdom, traditional knowledge systems, matrilineal elderhood, liberatory practices and community and sharing....this work in and of itslef, even as it coaxes out the particulars and makes a comprehensive map that can be adjusted for the uniqueness of each being in distress, is medicine by its very speaking. This return to feminine wisdom and balance as a governing enclosure to the deep relationality of all energy, is going to be the most significant intervention/recovery/remembering. It will sink deeply into the heart and the neglected ways of knowing that stem from the heart, and it will do immeasurable things. I'm so jazzed to be around for this and to try and give support to its momentum and rightful return/rejuvenation.

    my psychiatrist friend talks about this sometimes. the clients people would assume to be difficult have much more tangible goals. people who are looking to feel “happier” don’t feel the same drastic changes. to them it’s too little to notice.

    Interesting… I wonder if the more “unhealthy” individuals know that the way they’ve been doing things isn’t working so when they see what you’re telling them works, they are happy to keep going. Where for the “healthier” individuals, they think what they are doing is working and are less inclined to change what they feel works.

  • @littlelizm329

    I would guess that the stubborn ones are just skeptical and only get really motivated once they start seeing results, but the ones who start out healthier are more likely to get complacent.

    I started watching this "episode" with interest, when half through I quit, frustrated by this woman that interrupted Gundry with dumb observations that didn't add one bit to the conversation. This brings a question to my mind: why cannot famous persons with important messages do their own shows instead of having to be "interviewed" by worthless hosts? Dr. Gundry makes many shows where he directly addresses the viewer. Why did he need to be interviewed by this "keri Glassman"?

    My levels spike because I fell and smashed my shoulder, it didn't break, but it caused arthritis. Non stop inflammation, my body was attacking itself. I was losing my mind, the high levels were crazy. I knew it was not psychological, i knew it was an inflammatory response, i kept trying different things, prescription drugs just made everything worse, I had to experiment with different supplements until i found a great combo; glucosamine for the arthritis and then l-theanine for the brain. It worked, thank God. I was constantly on edge, after taking the one two combination, i feel completely normal again. Proving it was physiological and not psychological or psychiatric in nature, although on the surface, it looked like i was having a nervous breakdown when in reality my body was in high alert fight or flight for over two months. It was insane. Nature has the medicines we need, research until you find the solutions. Newly type 2 diabetic, on 2 g of metformin, daily. 59 years old, I am one of those old, skinny diabetics, I eat well, get my sleep, exercise, enjoy nature, meditate, have creative hobbies, I totally changed my life style, but an injury and arthritis can be a knock out punch for diabetics.... word of warning, be careful, folks. One bad fall can tail spin you in to despair. Falls and resulting injuries are a major cause of death for diabetics, please be careful! Peace

    If saturated animal fat is bad for you why is your brain made up mostly of saturated animal fat? And if saturated animal fat is bad for you why is human breast milk mostly comprised of saturated animal fat? Any saturated animal fat restriction diet is an improper human diet. Period. The human diet over millions of years has been a heavy fatty meat near zero carb diet. Study the evolution of mankind and what they ate over the eons of time and that will tell you what your body was evolved to eat. (hint it wasn't low fat protein ground turkey patties either.)

  • @charliesgrumma5388
    @charliesgrumma5388 5 місяців тому

    The human body loves animal fat and eating lots of it, a moderate amount of protein and nearly zero carbs is the proper human diet. Human breast milk is mostly saturated fat, the human brain is made of mostly saturated fat. People who don't eat enough fatty red meats get Alzheimer's and other brain ailments. 70% fat, 20% protein, and 5% carbs is the "high test fuel" for optimal human health. If you change this ratio you start to suffer all sorts of medical issues eventually.
